NEXTGEN SEPTIC ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE:
ADVANCED SEPTIC THAT LEAVES NO TRACE
NEXTGEN ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE (ZLD) SYSTEM
The NextGen ZLD System is a complete wastewater solution that discharges zero liquid to the environment. The system consists of three integrated components:
- NextGen Advanced Treatment System (ATS-350) — treats residential wastewater below ground, removing organics, nitrogen, phosphorous, and pathogens;
- Ultrafiltration & UVC Disinfection Stage — further purifies treated effluent before vaporization, with solid-state UV light replacing chlorine;
- Zero Liquid Discharge Unit — converts fully treated water into 10–30 micron nanodroplets that rapidly evaporate into ambient air, leaving no liquid discharge.
No drain field required. No soil percolation needed. No liquid discharged to the environment.
HOW IT WORKS
The ZLD system treats residential wastewater and exhausts ambient air carrying 10–30 micron treated water droplets that rapidly evaporate into water vapor — with zero liquid reaching the ground.
- Wastewater from the home is treated by the NextGen ATS-350 Advanced Treatment System.
- Treated effluent undergoes a second stage of ultrafiltration and UVC disinfection, then is vaporized into 10–30 micron droplets.
- Droplets have an extremely high surface area and evaporate rapidly at ambient humidity levels up to 90%.
- Droplets exhaust through a short stack at high velocity, evaporating before reaching ground level — even at sub-zero temperatures.
- The system requires no soil drain field and no land area suited to percolation.

SYSTEM ADVANTAGES
Ideal For Challenging Sites
The ZLD system is the solution when traditional drain fields aren’t possible — including sites with insufficient land, poor-percolating soils, high groundwater, or proximity to sensitive water bodies or wells.
Easy to Install & Monitor
The ATS-350 installs below ground while the ZLD unit sits above ground on a compact concrete pad. Wireless monitoring transmits faults and water quality data directly to your phone or a web dashboard.
Cost Effective
Competitively priced compared to traditional drain field installations, with no ongoing biomat clogging costs. The system has operated successfully in Northern Kentucky for over 5 years, with additional field-tested installations in Arizona and North Carolina.
FIELD-TESTED PERFORMANCE
Water quality testing was conducted by ELAP-accredited organizations across multiple installations from 2018–2022, with average daily flows of 400–700 GPD.
